There were lots of very good reasons to prefer Obama to Clinton.
But in hindsight*, Clinton would've probably gotten more good things done than Obama did, because she's better at fighting the GOP and he chickened out a lot.

* Which is never 20/20, and seldom even close to it.

My experience of owning a Brother printer and a Canon printer is that the Brother printer usually works when you send it a print job but the Canon printer almost always needs some further enticement.

I feel thrown by the widespread proclamations of a glorious, lasting peace in Gaza. A lot even treats “now that it’s all over” as the unquestioned premise.

It still looks like a disaster to me. Am I way off? Are my domestic politics distorting my view? Either the consensus is wrong or I am.

It true, AOC reputation took a lot of damage for supporting Kamala, and then Kamala opted to screw her over by offering no concessions in return. Because all the Centrists establishment types were super excited about continuing to support a GODDAMNED GENOCIDE, and didn't want to let it go.

Its actually a huge problem that most of these events are organized by groups that consider themselves "non-partisan" because nobody wants to be publicly identified with Democrats.

I like Janet Mills a lot but 77 years old is too old for a freshman senator. Even if she wins, it sets up the Dems to lose the seat in 6 years. I am concerned that our establishment doesn't recognize this.

a key thing about vought — and all of these guys — is that they have a totally top down and hierarchical vision of the world. they believe that the cultural changes they hate can be turned off by destroying the federal government because they can’t imagine that they emerged bottom-up in society

What he’s railing against is a profound shift in culture, status… He’s obsessed with the idea that America is controlled by a leftist “ruling elite” - but “elite” isn’t defined socio-economically or by political power, it means something like: Getting to define “real America” and who gets to belong.
