I have a working theory. When Josh Allen called out the fans who left early from the Baltimore game, that threw the vibes off for the whole season.

Yeah, but see, lack of complementary football ...

The vibes are all off with this team.

I can’t wait for Sean McDermott to blame the offense again this week.

Buffalo is, at its core, a truly great hockey town. May be a better hockey town than a football town.

What's happened to the Sabres over the past 15 years is an embarrassment.

It was after this play, when Dawkins and maybe Brown went after 57, that I knew this team had it. Biggest contrast in Buffalo sports.

I always contrast this to how the Bills O-Line always reacts anytime anybody gets near Josh.

A thing I have learned from being online since 1995:

If you're a writer, editor, journalist, academic, you have to be ready to go contrarian when you feel it. And if you're feeling it all the time, such that it's become your idenitity, that's a signal. You broke your mind.

I mean, I know it's cliche, but like - Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan are still alive.

I also need to know: I am fairly middle-of-the-road on Taylor Swift but someone I know called her the Greatest Living Lyricist. She is not.

Who is yours? Either the greatest or your favorite?

I've seen scales like this before, and I don't love them in this case. To me, it feels like a weird set up, like "if this is OK, what's the problem with this?" Or the existence of clear delineations where the reality is much more muddled.

Honestly? It's not *that* bad, but that leap from 0 to 1 seems pretty significant.

College athletes may be allowed to bet on pro sports soon 👀

The NCAA Division I Administrative Committee approved the recommendation Wednesday, but the new rules will only go into effect if Division II and Division III also approve.

Remember that story from The Times a few weeks ago that said the Broadway Musical was dying because costs were too high? Saying that actors make too much and tickets are too cheap?

Hmmmm. Might be that The Times either got played by producers or is taking a side in this dispute.

Broadway is facing a possible strike this fall as two of its major labor unions — the one representing actors and stage managers and the one representing musicians — are simultaneously in negotiations for new contracts. Here's what to know.

Not only is this correct, but it feels like it captures the Buffalo-Rochester split perfectly.

If our girl @jrbillin.bsky.social wasn't helping to raise the world's cutest baby, I'd love her thoughts on this. Feels like an underestimating the wild popularity of K-Pop, combined with the "it's a kid's move/girls' movie" blindspot.
