According to my mayor, loser with a nasty cat blanket.

Artist, lawyer, cat rescuer, zinester. Disabled punk lesbian. She/her. Postcrosser. Locked Tomb fan.
He’s floppy and likes to be held like a baby. The fluffy tummy is not a trap.

For today’s art I decided to try another shoe, my new TMA Eyes boots. I did these in ink, J. Herbin 167, Émeraude de Chivor, and a lovely gouache set I got as a birthday gift. The ink isn’t waterproof, so it changed some of what I was doing. #inkallyear #watercolor #gouache

Yesterday’s art is a very basic watercolor with my little Derwent travel set, which I keep in my bag so I can watercolor any time I like. In practice this mostly means I don’t have to borrow watercolors from my wife if I stay at her house. #watercolor

Yesterday’s art is a portrait of a friend. I wasn’t able to make the life drawing event they posed for, but my wife took photos. Local drag performer CK in pen and marker. #marker #crayolamarker #supportlocaldrag

I give basically no fucks about the "male loneliness epidemic" as it's a straight people problem and women have actual serious problems like inequity, but this is interesting.
People have a good reason to resist acknowledging the male loneliness crisis. They correctly perceive that women are being blamed and told to fix it.

But the real cause is predatory capitalists who profit on keeping men isolated and online.

Stop taking madness out of your equation when you talk about homelessness. It's very transparent to us. You have no solidarity with the mad in any aspect of your life & the only way you can feel sorry for a homeless person is if you think they're "normal" like you.

The Democratic establishment's ugly reaction to Zohran Mamdani reveals an unpleasant truth.

They would rather lose elections than change.

The addiction to rich donors and consultants is killing the party. But Mamdani shows a path out. An analysis.

"Tzefardea Tzedek" (Frog of Righteousness)

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)

coming off of an article about french towns tilting less toward fascism if the tour de france comes through, one thing reads especially clear from this: in all human interaction, people want to feel important. sometimes that stems the tide of monsters. other times, monsters use that to play you.
Yesterday Fresh Air did an interview with Robert Draper, who has covered Charlie Kirk. And this section on Draper's relationship with Kirk said a lot to me about modern access journalism, and the soft coverage we've seen in the wake of Kirk's death.
