God, I can NOT forget how let down I was when I saw the 2017 Tom Cruise version of The Mummy with my dad.

The funniest thing was that the first trailer was accidentally released with key sounds and music missing for most of the first half, meaning we got to hear Cruise screaming.

As per George Lucas’ initial ideal for Star Wars: Episode VII, Luke would have exiled himself to a distant planet and sought out by Kira, who would later become his disciple. Kira eventually became Rey in the Disney-produced sequels. So they didn't "throw out" George's ideas. Those ideas evolved.
