Recently went back to Tumblr, was originally on it chronically from 2009 to about 2017, and it does seem to have mellowed out. To be continued...

Buyers: So your games... guns and football, yes?

EA: Mmhmm, mmhmm, mostly guns and football, yep.

Buyers: No gay stuff? No politics we're not going to like?

EA: Haha, definitely not! Hey, could you give me one sec? I just need to shut down a studio real quick.

Bon bin j'aurai pas trop le choix de l'acheter alors 😂
You did an amazing job as Emmrich's VA. Such an emotional and heartfelt performance, giving life (and death 😂) to a lovely character.
I really want to buy it but I am also terrified of getting another game I'll lose my life to 😂
Look at them!! Look at them and their happiness!! 💖💖
Thank you so much @evermorelore.bsky.social 💜 Nicest artist I've ever worked with, if you are looking for #commissionedart btw!
Deeply deeply obsessed with the prompt @blissedgone.bsky.social gave for her commission and I am honored to make it real. Look at themmmm 😍

Nothing is as good for sparking creativity in a fandom as the death of the Favorite Media.

After playing a fictional member of the Resistance a long time ago, I never could have imagined it ever happening in real life, but here we are.
Mark Hamill posting rebellious content in a battle against a dictator and his robotic sidekick is the most Star Wars shit ever.

Thank you for being transparent. Eagerly awaiting reopening.

My advice to EA (not that they care): you have an IP that a lot of people love. Deeply. At its height, it sold well enough to make you happy, right? Look at what it did best at the point where it sold the most. Follow Larian's lead and double down on that. The audience is still there. And waiting. ❤️

Look, I'm not a fancy CEO guy, but if someone said to me "the key to this successful single-player IP's success is to make it purely a multiplayer game. No, not a spin off: fundamentally change the DNA of what people loved about the core game" to me, I'd probably, like, quit that job or something.

Saying that my grief has culminated today for the future of BioWare and my favorite gaming franchises is an understatement.

That also goes for the creative forces behind all media, though. In the era of AI, we are devaluing so much of what makes us human. And that's depressing.
@trickweekes.bsky.social wrote some of the characters I have come to love deeply. Solas (and Solavellan) has lived rent free in my head for nearly a decade now (full disclosure: I have a playlist and have commissioned fanart). Cole, Tali, Mordin... some of my favourites across all genres and media.
Mainly, through BioWare games, and especially Dragon Age, a brilliantly crafted universe filled with characters I have come to care deeply for.

Following cuts, another chunk of BioWare's senior writers and devs are now being shown the door, suggesting a systemic undervaluing of their work.
