You awaken on a white shore, unsure what you’ve lost.

Dark rites brought me, @ratcasket.itch.io , and @puppiesandanime.bsky.social together.

Something stirs. More soon.

Mockup of a dark fantasy game UI. On the left, an isometric view shows a tiny hooded figure in a pointed hat standing near a hut with a glowing red bonfire. The scene is painted in icy blues, sandy yellows, and mossy greens, with cliff edges and a shoreline below. On the right, a portrait of a pale witch with large dark eyes, a hat tied with red string on their head, and large metal keys through their cheeks. Below the portrait, an interface bar shows strange symbols and inventory items: a worm shaped like the infinite, a drop of blood, and a potion bottle.

I know it's a brand new idea but I think the fact women have to shave or wax their body hair is stupid. I'm appalled we've gotten to this point as a society where we would have standards this nonsensical. Women are attractive regardless of body hair but somehow we are here.

Woke up to quite the update on this. I had been in contact with Payment Cloud about getting their service and they waited until now to hit me with the image below. Again, stringing me along instead of being upfront. They had seen my website multiple times before this.
An image taken from an e-mail from Payment Cloud to me. They list prohibited adult work, one of which just includes "Fantasy" which is as wide as cat ears and fairies. We are so cooked.

In Super Mario Odyssey, kicking things is Mario's highest priority, overriding all other actions. If a kickable object, such as a football, is thrown at Mario while he is asleep, he will momentarily wake up just to kick it before instantly going back to sleep.

My well-adjusted coping with my vicious anxiety is telling myself:
- you can't read minds
- you can't astral project
- you can't see the future

Basically "stop worrying like you know stuff you don't".
It weirdly works?

I was so motivated Tuesday night that I drew them ✨

I like to think that after their 1st successful date, that this happened and Devoid either got stun-locked or never washed her face since

Hell yeah hell yeah hell yeah (Would be extra neat if it's Ocarina of Time 3D, as it's such a good looking version of the game while being very faithful)

Speaking on this; there's a tumblr post that PERFECTLY explains why TERFs have 'so much reach', and folk need to see it.

Stop engaging with TERFS, block them, and get them offline. Likewise, report *their* harmful comments.

Organise and be smart.
Screenshot of a tumblr post by user khazrablood. It shows another screenshot from twitter/X by @advocate.com, stating;

"Outcry grows after multiple trans users were targetted for mild criticisms of anti-trans billionaire."

Beneath the quote, a hyperlink pop up of an informative article appears, with two images; the first is Bluesky's logo, and the second is of Joanne Rowling.

Under the two portrait images, the header reads; "Bluesky silenced trans voices over J. K Rowling, here's why"

The sub-header of the hyperlink further reads; "Outcry grows after multiple trans users were targetted for mild criticisms of the anti-trans billionaire."

Underneath the screenshot of the Twitter/X post, khazrablood writes; "wannabe twitter already bending the knee to terfs." Following the previous tumblr post by khazrablood, fourohfourlifenotfound, a different user, has reblogged the post and added;

If we are ever going to stop this, then you guys need to start learning why this happens.

And it's not always because some executive made a decision to favor a TERF. It's because the technology is broken in a way TERFs have learned to use to their advantage.

So content moderation is a HUGE task. It is incredibly inefficient to manually monitor all user reports-- when you "flag" something as spam or inappropriate or 'inciting harm' (what Blueskye is saying the banned users had in their posts). So what actually happens is that the bulk of it is reviewed by machine. The precise "how" is a bit of a black box (if you say exactly, it makes it more vulnerable to being bypasses), but we generally know it's a bit of machine learning ("ai", but not he chatgpt kind) and a bit of automation. Generically this gets referred to as an "algorithm" (which is a meaningless word I don't have time to unpack here). a continuation of khazrablood's tumblr post, reblogged and added to by fourohfourlifenotfound;

The TERFs have a formula. A battle plan, if you will. I've been watching them use it for almost a decade. And they play social media sites like a fiddle every single time.

The way it works is that they coordinate attacks on targets they dislike. (Usually trans people, but ace discourse is a notable example of targets not necessarily fitting that demographic.) They send links to each other of posts to report. They'll flag it for whatever the nearest thing they can is. The blueskye users were wishing ill to JK Rowling, so "inciting harm" was the excuse selected. "Inappropriate or sexually explicit content" is a common selection for other trans content.

Then what happens is the content moderation "algorithm" sees a huge influx of reports for a certain post or user. And instead of making a human manually review all of that, it automatically initiates a ban or takedown. And if the "algorithm" has word censorship built in, it will begin to auto-flag for things containing words in posts frequently flagged, so it begins to auto-flag the word trans itself. The end of tumblr user fourohfourlifenotfound addition to khazrablood's original tumblr post;

This has been happening for almost a decade. There was a trans youtuber who proved TERF hater group chats flagged his videos so much that it started auto-demonitizing identical videos with the word trans in the title, but leaving ones without the word alone. I strongly suspect this is why we see huge amounts of trans women banned for no reason on tumblr. And this is clearly what is happening now.

How do we fix it? There's no easy solution. All the things about the "algorithm" that make moderation easier for the social media platforms are the exact reasons it's so difficult to defeat. It's hard to teach a machine what's a genuine flag and a malicious one. Again, it's been almost a decade since the issue was raised with youtube, and there has yet to be a solution for rooting out malicious coordinated flagging.

But here's one thing that can help: get TERFs off of social media. Stop letting them bait you into petty fights. Learn how to identify them. Block and report them.

If you see this post something monochromatic!

LOL I was a day early so here’s some more of Ronnie and her friends from string orchestra!
Pixel art mockup of a greyscale gothic adventure. Ronnie stands in the middle of an overgrown kirkyard ruin. Several strange monsters appear nearby. Pixel art of Ronnie’s friend Elisa.

On the left she’s wearing a Panama hat and varsity jacket with torn mom jeans pointing a spoon towards her “too hot!” cup of noodles.

On the right she’s wearing big hoop earrings and a black midi dress while playing acoustic guitar. Ronnie again in torn black skinny jeans and a cropped hoodie, with studded belt and gloves. She’s striding confidently away from the viewer Ronnie’s other friend Feng, showing him in his typical collared shirt and sweater combo. On the left he is seen carrying a backpack and violin case. In the middle he’s wearing a lighter sweater, smiling and posing with his left hand in a ✌️v sign. On the right he’s wearing a black polo and playing his violin.

Paypal ramps up NSFW censorship by beginning to go after not just adult creators but also customers.

In a lot of ways, this is even more terrifying than the adult creator bans. With them, it's only me at risk, but how do I navigate a space where putting a game on Itch might put customers at risk?

My account got banned a couple of days ago for making purchases which violate the terms of service.
Upon querying with staff over the phone l've been told that it was e-books that l've been buying.
I'm panicking a little bit right now. I haven't done anything illegal have I? The books were mostly stuff about monsters and milking. Some dub-con stuff.
If it is illegal, what do I need ot do to protect myself? Do I delete my e-books?
If the e-books aren't illegal then is the company really allowed to tell me how I'm allowed to spend my money?
Like, is this any different to Halifax or Nationwide forbidding me from buying cigarettes or alcohol at Tesocs?
I'm in England.
