With respect, I can't engage with something that begins with "There's something wrong with you."

As I said in my previous post, I think your reaction is out of all proportion to my comment. In my opinion, you need to take a break and go for a walk or do something to feel better.
I saw that extremely rude post you just put up before you deleted it. If you really want to discuss this, you can contact me through my substack.

I can see you're very upset. In my view, out of all proportion. With respect, step away from the keyboard and go for a walk.
Are you sure he doesn't mean the French and Indian War (1754-1763)? I mean, he can't spell Philippines. "both British regulars and the American colonial forces became seasoned wilderness fighters." (Enc. Britannica) He would have fought alongside George Washington.

That other thing seems crazy.
The ultimate "how dare you speak to me like that" post!

I am responding to *what you wrote.*

Apparently you prefer--and think it's ok--to be really mean to individuals, rather than look at the system that produces this perspective we both find outrageous and feckless.

Are you just a bully?

“We found over 35 cases in which the judges have specifically said what the government is providing…false information. It might be intentionally false information, including false sworn declarations time and again," says Ryan Goodman, law professor at New York University.
Talks like someone whose stock portfolio has done really well over the last 10 years of HELL.
I'm surprised you are just learning that FB/Twitter/X is the editor in chief of NYT, and traditional media generally. This has been the case since 2008 at least.

For 15 years journalists' job has been reduced to rewriting press releases and scrolling sm.

Get it now?
I don't know if that's the only reason why. But this 90m Not Voting Party is bigger than all Dems and Repubs combined. No democracy can survive that level of disengagement.

At least we're finally talking about the real problem.Without that it's impossible to work on solutions.

For those STILL dismissing yesterday’s march as mere performance…

Yes.
It was.
How else do you create a movement??

Here are a LOT of reasons why such marches are important:

Why Protests Matter. A LOT.

In recent years, around the world, transport has been the spark for mass mobilizations on almost every continent.

Some smart person should write about the triangulation of equity in urban mobility, renewable energy, and human rights, because that's what millions are marching in the streets for.
I read about that--very impressive!

So 35 miles of you--about 30k protesters-- and visibility to about that many people driving on Ogden over 2-3 hours.

And 35 of them. Most people don't want to be in a minority of jerks, given a reasonable option.

Just saying. #ourbubble
Exactly. Apparently there are three of us who see the joke.

The illustration is signed with a large symbol indicating it's AI, so what is the problem.
They're also scaring off ICE by singing and dancing to Sweet Caroline and dressing up as frogs and unicorns.
I've been going to protests since February and the biggest MAGA counterprotest I've seen was 12 very noisy people.

One of them came up to me--a gigantic scary looking guy-- and said, "I like your hat."

Remember that lots of MAGA are terrorized-- by their leadership, for votes.
I like your theory way better, too.
Anyone who still thinks there's a value to posting this Chicken Little Eeyore bullshit in a public forum isn't worth engaging with, IMO: Just block and move on.

Are we building a movement here, or are we here to just beat off? Time to choose.

A 🧵
The NYC contingent of @mediaanddemocracy.bsky.social joined their fellow NYers in support of the #FirstAmendment and democracy @ #NoKings

Marchers were treated to - and joined in - a magnificent rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner on 7th Avenue (h/t Broadway’s Ken Jennings)

I ❤️ my hometown.

Well done…
Over the last 10 years the value of the stock market has increased by 86%. (I read somewhere) What you attribute to ideology is rather greed and self-interest. There’s no difference between MSM failure and the collapse of the elite we’re witnessing. It’s all about me, and who has the most candy.
