I'm sorry, but every time I see this image I think Matt Smith is portraying Popeye the Sailor Man.

Does anyone else see this?

Missing Doctor Who? The first-ever movie has just landed a new UK streaming home
Doctor Who is on a bit of a break at the moment, and has left things on quite the cliffhanger, so why not take the opportunity to go right back to the start? Well, not right back the start, but less than two years after the debut episode aired, with the franchise's first movie. 1965's Dr Who and the Daleks was the first story featuring the TARDIS traveller to be made in colour and widescreen. It's also an alternate-universe-y type story, with Star Wars: A New Hope's Peter Cushing as the titular protagonist, rather than William Hartnell. It's just found its way to a new streaming service in the UK, and perhaps not surprisingly given its non-canon status, that service isn't BBC iPlayer. What to Read Next Following an airing on Film4 over the weekend, the film is currently available on Channel 4's streaming service. As is the case with movies, it's only available for the next few weeks. As the title implies, the plot of the film sees The Doctor dealing with the pepperpot-shaped terrors. There's plenty of differences from the show, however, including that our hero isn't a Time Lord. He's also not called The Doctor here, but it's one of the few times that he's actually called Dr Who. It's also worth noting that Channel 4's upload is the 2022 remastered version, which was scanned at and released in 4K. The future of Doctor Who was left up in the air following the conclusion of the most recent season, and it seemed like we wouldn't hear whether things will carry on with or without Disney until the upcoming spin-off The War Between the Land and Sea aired. However, it was announced last week that the BBC and Disney have decided to part ways, with Russell T Davies and Bad Wolf Studios confirmed for a 2026 Christmas special. The latest episode ended with Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor regenerating into Billie Piper's... someone. Is it the next Doctor? Is it Rose Tyler? Is it the Bad Wolf persona? Maybe she's the alternate movie universe's Dr Who? That would certainly be a twist. Dr Who and the Daleks is available to stream now on Channel 4. It can also be streamed via Studiocanal Presents, or bought on 4K/Blu-ray. The main show can be streamed on BBC iPlayer. The new edition of Living Legends is here! While true, given how hard they are trying to hide them, I think Epstein is going to be relevant all the way to the midterms even if they are released.

AOC: I have to tell you, in my traveling across the country, I am hearing and have been seeing consistent things from everyday people. And it is that they are terrified, they are frustrated, they are angry, and they are shocked by a president violating the values that we hold dear

Good morning! We've got two tasks we are requesting of y'all today:

1) If you're in an area with an election, GO VOTE!
2) If the Louvre has taught us anything, now might be a good time to change your passwords from "Password" to something more secure...

Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

The last month of the anti-Mamdani campaign was an absolutely shameful undertaking, an attempt to rip the city and Democratic coalition apart and I'm very happy to see it failed.

This should be on the Dem platform for 2026. non-partisan redistricting commissions with members of the public.

More like a million... "hundreds of thousands" is woefully inadequate. He also set America on the course for Trump... and when Trump goes for regime change in Venezuela and more people die, it will be Cheney's legacy

Everyone should pay careful attention to the Maine voter ID ballot measure (Prop 1). It is on track to lose -- thereby proving that the GOP claims that voter ID laws are overwhelmingly popular is a lie. Perhaps now the legacy media will stop repeating that nonsense.

True before, even more true now!
I don't know.

The House still needs to meet in order to swear in the AZ rep and vote on the Epstein files.

Not reopening kinda gives Johnson what he wants.

The oligarchy came out in full force against Zohran Mamdani's fight for a more affordable NYC.

It didn't matter.

Let his victory in the face of Big Money serve as a reminder that people have the power.
I'm sitting here praising God for answering my prayers.

This is even better than what I had hoped for.

All politics are local to start with and I'm glad more people are seeing that. I hope we can see far more of it going forward. Then see that blue trickle upwards into federal

Yeah I'm REALLY fucking angry at all the mainstream media organizations who pretty much mocked the idea that Trump would do all the horrible stuff he was openly saying he was gonna do
This is going to get spun as a "thermostatic shift" chart, but it should be properly interpreted as a "information environment is broken" chart.

In 2024, voters didn't know what Trump would do, and so they shifted towards him based on vibes. Now they are finding out, and they hate it.
Nearly every county in Virginia has shifted blue in a massive statement against Donald Trump.

The passage of CA Prop 50 wraps a big night on the democracy/voting rights front. In addition to Prop 50, most notably: ME rejected voting restrictions, PA preserved its liberal supreme court majority, and VA cleared a path to end its Jim Crow-era system of lifetime felony disenfranchisement.
