we simply do not have a union anymore if the president is using troops from one state to invade others entirely on the basis of political disagreements
UPDATE: Hegseth today called up 400 members of the Texas National Guard, with Gov. Abbott's apparent permission, to be deployed "where needed, including in the cities of Portland and Chicago." www.politico.com/news/2025/10...

They’re bullying Minnesotans because I had the AUDACITY to ask to negotiate a deal to help my constituents afford to live in a broken health care system.

The Department of Homeland Security has threatened to prosecute journalists or citizens filming and posting videos of ICE agents as they disappear immigrants as an act of “violence.”
Here's the story, co-published with @exposedbycmd.bsky.social.

I don’t think any Democrat deserves to go back to Congress if they don’t either introduce their own legislation of this sort, or sign on to an existing proposal to do so. SCOTUS, like much of the federal government right now, is broken, corrupt, and untrustworthy. Time to act.

Teens calling Idaho's suicide hotline are being told they can't proceed with the conversation without parental consent. Many of the callers are then hanging up.

Idaho approved a strict parental consent law last year.

I am sounding the alarm on the real crisis we face today.

Donald Trump’s overreach is what our founders warned against – it is unprecedented, unwarranted, and un-American.

There’s no emergency here that calls for military intervention.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the National Labor Relations Act into law 90 years ago this month. For the first time, workers in the United States had the right to organize unions and bargain collectively.
Riot guns and revolution: How a bloody 1934 workers strike in Minneapolis catalyzed the nation
A landmark 1934 Minneapolis strike made the city a union town and influenced national labor law. It was an outcome that seemed all but impossible in the first part of the decade.

Essentia Health CEO David Herman openly admits they refuse to even recognize Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as having unionized with MNA, let alone them being willing to come to the bargaining table at all. This thug behavior is union-busting, clear as day. #mnleg #PatientsBeforeProfits #labor
Essentia is doing the work of the MN Business Partnership and MN Chamber, of which they are members, to see just how far they can push it right now. This is a test case, and if you’re a Minnesotan who supports workers and labor, you should be alarmed. #mnleg #labor #PatientsBeforeProfits
Not sure how many @dfl.org folks & allied progressives, liberals, & pro-labor folks realize how bad Essentia Health’s union-busting is right now. They know NLRB is in shambles & they’re leveraging every bit of that to screw over clinic nurses and APPs. Essentia needs to feel some heat… #mnleg #labor

w here’s a picture MN can celebrate. State Senator John Hoffman discharged from ICU today after being shot numerous times during assassination attempt. His family tells me he’s moving to a rehab facility and still has a long road ahead.

When I think about Melissa Hortman, I think about this list. Rest in power.
Melissa Hortman will always be “The Speaker”. She was brilliant, brave, caring, hilarious, and the type of leader every legislator and public servant should strive to be. She and her husband deserved better.

Thankful to hear Sen. Hoffman and his wife are recovering. They’re both fighters!

It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence.

They are in charge.
