Flickr isn't without their fault but in times like these, I'm just glad there's an outlet that let me see photos from real life, lives that exist on the same ground I walk, lives that convey human presence no matter what they depict, lives that are pure, free from the violent touch of the clankers.

Frankly i think it's not really about the end product having trails of genAI sludge in it, the idea that a prestige studio like larian merely touched it stinks and only helps normalizing the usage of it. Today "it's just a tool", soon "it's just a 100 hours game", it's an infestation.

I often think of how award shows tend to be not just a celebration, but also recognition and discovery. I had 0 idea about Nickel Boys and the new Turnstile album before their Oscars and Grammys nominations, and now I got a new favorite movie and album. TGA seems like it recognizes 1 single game.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is actually better than Baldur's Gate 3 in the sense that the developers acknowledged it's a VTMB game in name only so they gave a returning character a short cameo appearance as a quick fanservice instead of butchering beloved companions from the last game.
