This is why we're enraged: the benefit of the doubt always, always, always, without exception, goes to the abusers, not their victims. No matter how many victims accuse the same abusers. "How dare you accuse" trumps "How dare you abuse" (pun intended). Since forever.

People accept a zillion types of 'girlness', say from Barbie to tomboy, or a zillion types of 'boyness', from tomgirl to Schwarzenegger, but not accept that someone can be between or outside of these two ranges, or in the 'other' range. Like, it's not such a big stretch of the imagination, is it?

Absolutely infuriating! Similarly, people who tell you, PROUDLY, that they "avoid following the news" as though only idiots follow news, while still claiming to be well informed. Great way to avoid responsibility, notably for voting choices.
The notion that it's somehow high minded and important not to have any discernment or principles at all is an infuriatingly and profoundly stupid one. It's a pseudo-intellectual's idea of what actual intellectual standards sound like.

We want the media and politicians to recognise that there is a large number of women who are supportive of the trans+ community. We call on them to report truthfully about the sources of violence against women and to address the systems that perpetuate harm. notinourname.org.uk/petition/not...
