50% of American adults are more concerned than excited about the increased use of AI in daily life. Just 10% are more excited than concerned.

Chart showing concerns about AI are especially common in the United States, Italy, Australia, Brazil and Greece, where about half of adults say they are more concerned than excited. But as few as 16% in South Korea are mainly concerned about the prospect of AI in their lives.

Hoe zit dat eigenlijk met de dominees in Nederland? Spelen die net zo’n grote rol als in de VS? En worden die ook « besmet » met het MAGA gedachtengoed vanuit de VS?

Als we zo naar imams kijken, dan zouden we dat ook eens met dominees (en rabbijnen) mogen doen, lijkt me. 🤔

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

Niet te geloven. Na de bbblunder van Plas over D66'ers in Raad v State, blijkt dat Henk Vermeer en Mona Keijzer haar zelfs overtroefden met nóg foutere cijfers op nóg stelliger toon. Krankjorum ook dat #Lubach aan politici moet uitleggen wat de taak van de Raad van State is.

Totale miskenning van het feit dat de VVD anno 2025 in niets lijkt op de partij waarmee het CDA in het verleden heeft samengewerkt. Met "fatsoen moet je doen" heeft de BV Yesilgöz niks meer te maken. Een grote strategische fout van Bontenbal die "het" begint te verliezen.

Ik was vooral heel geroerd over de verhalen met betrekking tot oorlogsgeweld. Hoewel ik dat zelf niet heb gezien, leeft het heel erg in mijn bestaan, zonder dat ik eigenlijk kan uitleggen waarom precies. Al die verwoeste levens. Ondraaglijk soms.

Mooi als je dat kunt omzetten naar kracht.

Een van de goorste dingen aan deze SGP campagne is dat ze blijven leuren met de fabel van ‘geslachtsselectie’: er is geen bewijs dat dit veel voorkomt en de stijging in het aantal abortussen zit in de eerste 8 weken. Dan weet je niks over het geslacht.
