Right? It doesn’t make sense. It just seems like a Forsaken scenario where playable races aren’t allowed to be sinister or complicated anymore. We’re all doomed to love the Light
Ph'el Oman the LF Draenei figured out how to use the fel in a Light-honoring way but not the blood elves, I guess
The High Elves didn't get exiled over a temporary policy and you can't tell me elves who believe magic is their birthright would just give up power like that
I think what's especially annoying re: Silvermoon and Banning Warlocks is that Warlocks SHOULD be treated as taboo and undesirable and shunted to the fringes of society... except for specifically the blood elves, who's major turning point in history was embracing it as a fixture of their society
I really think it's a screen time issue. They seem really bad at budgeting time to properly develop their stories and I really don't understand why. Cutscenes and junk are expensive, sure, but like a few extra quests should be doable, surely
Dying to know if they even acknowledge a warlock player. I guess they really do get a "cool guy" pass
Seems like they realized the crime didn't match the punishment mid-development and just ramped it up into cartoon villainy so we're morally correct on a technicality

IM GONNA CRY I love u Sylvanas
I adore this conversation, and I'm really glad they are reinforcing the themes from 9.2 of 'inaction damns us all'. If anything should define Sylvanas going forward, it's this.

The reframing of "Dark Lady watch over you" is just absolutely perfect.
I do hope there's a little somethin' somethin' for Forsaken specifically just because this conversation is entirely about her time in BfA and not about, ya know, the nation she raised
Lmao “aight see ya”
No I totally agree with you, but I'm happy to see them return to the tension even if it appears inconsistent, rather than going "well no we have to commit to zero tension and conflict forever"
Polite elves are a recession indicator
Consider it them recalibrating the narrative. It's annoying Bel'ameth and Gilneas are so welcoming of the Horde, but because people find that annoying they're actually adding the tension back in for Silvermoon. Hopefully they'll retroactively change these two other cities.
If you like arena shooters this game fucking whips

I'm kind of enamored with how much it welcomes you into embracing Y2K era hyper-femininity in a very up-my-own-ass games-as-art way it ROCKS

Priests are a universal class and even that doesn't make sense as presented in-game. Why would a dracthyr be a priest, for example?
I think part of it is just because the idea of "paladins" (as opposed to holy warriors) being a human creation in the second war has been lost, but like.... can we please stop homogenizing all the races for the sake of just Wanting shit.
I hate the "Any race that can be a priest can be a paladin" logic because it entirely ignores the culture of WoW's races. Forsaken have priests but in-game the NPCs are all specifically shadow priests. The orc version of a paladin is the enhancement shaman because that's THEIR religion.
Hell yeah dude we love to see it
Life to all who oppose us :)
I bet he wasn't even that good at seducing people, he had to use his vampire powers like constantly
Instead they’re a hodge podge of reskinned races, shit no one asked for, and groups like the Zandalari who, while cool, I like having them, are kind of narratively dead. They don’t have autonomy outside of the Horde and will forever live in its shadow now
I think WoW kinda fumbled Allied Races. Given the name you’d think they’d be groups like High Elves and Broken or Stonemaul ogres and Outland Mag’har — groups who don’t constitute a nation but are already part of the factions
I fuck heavy with Darion but I do wonder if they should have gone through with Tirion, given how casually he's killed off
we are allies and can be trusted
