👀 Don't look now, but The Toddfather just announced a new book, coming next year! 👀

If baseball had an official Visual Historian, I couldn't think of a better person for the job than Todd, so this promises to be an amazing book.

I’m not exactly sure what it says about me as a person, or a baseball fan, but I’ve reached the point in my life where at the end of last night’s game I felt more sympathy for Phillies pitcher Orion Kerkering than I did joy for the Dodgers, who I was actually pulling for.

It’s common to bash Topps for the airbrushing on their cards in the 1970s. But considering the tools of the time & the size of the “canvas”, sometimes they actually did a pretty nice job.

If you’re a fan of great sports photography (especially historical pics), I encourage you to track down a copy of Sports Illustrated Slide Show. Some wonderful images, and the stories behind them, from the magazine’s great history.
