the time has come to draw proper player character portraits.. some need more polish than others, but it feels great to add them to the game. the ui feels complete with them in there. they feel right

writing the code for enemies’ battle decisions, finding lots of points to inject difficulty or grace. do enemies target your elemental weaknesses? are they more/less likely to attack low-HP party members? will they attempt spellcasting if they’re silenced? etc. lots of interesting nuance to consider

Godot is this magical thing that turns ideas I've been ruminating and documenting for TWO DAMN YEARS BUT COULDN'T GET TO MAKE BECAUSE I WAS BURNED OUT AS FUCK into cool 'perfect-dodge into wall combo' clips.

This is about less than 2 weeks of in-engine + Blender work.
