Kommissar is pleased to announce generous allocation of two pencils per child. Thank the kommisar for his bounty!
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

Being "on" all the time and sleeping too little is bad for your mental health and decision making abilities.
Lutnick: "The president sleeps less than me. I sleep 5 hours a night. The president sleeps 4 hours a night! And he's working all the time. He calls me late at night, he wants to talk about the day. He's on it all the time. It is the most impressive thing you've ever seen."

Bluesky now requires age-verification in Mississippi, even though X does not.

So Mississippians can still access X anonymously, but htey have to submit paperwork to read Bluesky. Guess which site doesn't think they'll get prosecuted in Mississippi.

Asymmetrical enforcement threats are censorship.
Bluesky Is Back for Mississippi Adults, But Social Giants Still Lack Required Age Checks
Months after Bluesky blocked access to Mississippi, Bluesky is available in the state once again with age verification for adults.

Patients have never been consumers.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

Imagining kids with republican parents seeing this, realising they have 3+ dolls and either destroying some or breaking down in tears.

An insane political move. One of the recurring complaints about immigration in the U.S. is that those seeking asylum jump the line. This is line-jumping — but for rich people, not those in need.

I hope people understand that if Trump gets his way America will soon be part of the global axis of evil if we aren't already. You see it in the Caribbean, you see it in Ukraine, and you see it with Trump trying to buddy up to Xi. We are a malevolent force.

This is a super common opinion expressed about social sciences: humans are too chaotic to be the subject of scientific understanding. But Hume pointed every minute of every day we predict each other's behavior to get by. The fact that humans are predictable is what makes society possible.
