it's not the most ideal for media streaming like this, but i'm just running this off of a raspberry pi 4b. any old laptop you have lying around would honestly work a little better.

as for software, it's just jellyfin for the server and ersatzTV for the fun tv stuff.

youtube's got all the guides.

it's software that turns your existing media server into something more akin to TV

custom channels, schedules, blocks...

it can intersperse old commercials between shows

i can make a custom network identifier and have it in the corner if i want

dreamt last night that my artist friends were all off working on big impressive projects and i sat there painfully jealous

haven't had windows installed on any device of mine for probably around a year now but i'd be lying if i said there weren't a few games i've been itching to play that don't work with linux due to anti-cheat bullshit.

i might have to install 10 onto an extra ssd to scratch the itch for a bit

for some reason i've been looking at caricature artwork as of late, and when you run across ai examples, surprise surprise, they're hardly exaggerated or hardly resemble the subject at all.

i honestly don't even remember the name of it but the mastodon instance i was in seems to not exist anymore.

my own instance sounds kinda neat, but i'm so over social media at this point to warrant spending the time and money to host such a thing.
