Still think you can trust AI? Check this out: Google's AI (considered one of the best in the field!) created a completely fictitious connection between one of my novels and my new editing service, hallucinating an alternate title for my novel EDITED, then erroneously connecting that to FiXion... 1/

And then the right will wail and scream about an “apology tour.”
i do think even a lot of otherwise well-informed Americans really do not understand just how much Trump has already mutilated our global reputation and global trust.

it will take a long time and many acts of extreme contrition on our part to rebuild this.
I swear everything I see out of the US is "wait until the midterms. We'll get a majority back and everything will return to normal"

I don't think they're aware of the damage that's been done

It's gross that Apple is celebrating Dr. King on the front page of apple.com while also doing literally everything he excoriated the "white moderates" for doing that harmed the movement.

I don’t care how many seats @schumer.senate.gov flips on Election Day. I care about what he does leading up to Election Day and every day thereafter.

Thus far, I am underwhelmed.
Imagine thinking that Chuck Schumer’s credibility as a leader rests on what happens on Election Day rather than every day until then.

To add to this, almost all of the U.S.’s problems are linked to its hatred of Black people and that it hates Black people more than it loves anyone else. Our laws and policies are largely based on making sure Black people (and sometimes other groups) don’t benefit even at the expense of others.
If there's one empirical insight I'd want everyone to understand about American politics, it's this:

America's problems are solved problems. Just not here.

What would change if the US simply matched the average of 31 peer democracies? Not Denmark or Norway. Just the middle of the pack. 🧵

One of these days, just for my own amusement, I may try to recollect the sprawling Green Lantern story I came up with the nineties that would have restored Hal as GL long before Rebirth.

But one thing I remember for sure was an alien armada closing on earth. An underling alerts the commander... 1/

Nothing captures the messaging gap between this country's parties like the way Republicans whip their supporters into frenzy over things that aren't real and how dems will look at kids being flashbanged by an occupying force of secret police and say "pls don't do anything dad is gonna be mad :["
State investigators have been on the scene in North Minneapolis.

I know you’re angry. I’m angry. What Donald Trump wants is violence in the streets.

But Minnesota will remain an island of decency, of justice, of community, and of peace.

Don’t give him what he wants.

I did not have "Bill Kristol goes full woke" on my 2026 bingo card.
I see we’re at the, “C’mon, the Alabama state troopers were really being treated disrespectfully at the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Also, a couple of them got scratches that day,” level of ICE apologetics.
