This is something we could expect from the Tories but the Labour Party should be dismantling or disabling it on coming into government. Private corporations do not operate in the interests of the public. They operate in the interests of their shareholders and profits
This is why Starmer said we wouldn’t be getting closer to the EU. It’s because we can’t, he’s signed contracts with big corporations who will then effectively govern Britain and these corporate zones aren’t allowed by the EU.

Confused as to why there’s not more publicity? Me too.

These people are beyond disgusting. I’m ashamed of our politicians with the exception of the Greens who at least appear to have some decency and humanity .
Only just. This is one of those times when Starmer needs to be visible and reassure people that they are not going to be uprooted from their homes under his leadership.
So sad we have come to this

The Silence from Labour on this is so telling I cant think of an easier win than to call this out as its a double hit on both Tory ineptitude and Reform otherism - I just dont get it mate.
Terrifying. What on earth has happened to the Tory party that it has become so extreme in such a short space of time?
Oops - diminishing obvs!
Not much and deminishing even more day by day…
It’s the Times. Not sure that counts as being particularly relevant in most peoples minds
They may be talking about it but they still don’t seem willing to do what is staring them in the face to solve the problems that it has caused. They still have the red lines that they decided upon.
It’s a shame that so few people are eligible for a Covid vaccine this time, especially since Covid is spreading more rapidly atm. Private covid vaccines are very expensive at around £90 a dose so out of the scope of many people to access.
Not helped by the highly restrictive eligibility criteria for free jabs on the NHS. The cost of buying them oneself is very steep at around £90 that many people just can’t afford to buy it themselves.
I also had LP.8 via Pharmadoctor on Thursday in Nottingham
Dear me, we are going backwards in so many aspects of life but I wasn’t expecting that!
And how do those in the NHS now think Covid is spread I wonder?
Wrong year. Apparently they choose in January. I’m sure he’ll get it next time as long as he carries on going as he has been. How can he not?
Try Pharmadoctor. Flu jab is £20 and Covid jab is £90. Still a lot but a bit cheaper than Boots

This is pretty crucial to consider now. Imagine what happens if Farage, Badenoch or Jenrick decides to go down the same route as Trump on science.

The UK’s independent scientific bodies are highly vulnerable to politicisation - over the past 5 months I've been working with @martinmckee.bsky.social to map out their vulnerabilities and it's not good news.

Today our report is published!

Seven in ten Britons say it is important for top scientific institutions to be independent in exclusive new polling.
