I would be willing to back banning the teen social media ban on the condition that the kids get a publicly owned teen only site just for them and it functioned like a late aughts social network. Get the ABC or Australia Post to run it

I'm not sure you could pick a funnier aristo family to be from as an influencer.
Finally, a story that we can all relate to...

I read this on the bus an hour ago and it has been an act of will to not stop random strangers on the street and tell them about it.

If The Federations treatment of Bajor was at all representative of how they treat their candidate states I would be on one about imperialism.
what star trek political opinion would you have if you lived in universe? would you still be weird about the xindi? would you be one of the people who protests the Klingon embassy in Paris? Me, i'd be a borg truther

I'm trying to imagine a more perfect Centre Unity brain worm than this, just a ringing the dinner bell for every nonce in Australia in order to cut down on the number of teachers fed members you have to deal with in a suburban ALP meeting, outstanding stuff.

I feel for Paul Thomas Anderson and everyone who worked on One Battle After Another, they tried so hard to do the absurdist dystopian extrapolation from the current horrors, and ended up so close to the actual political environment of the release window it hit the uncanny valley. Great movie though.

Developing a new Marxist analysis i'm calling Cliffite-Losurdoism it has one text that is nothing but a madlibs version of the The Eighteenth Brumaire and it's sure to upset everyone.

Now I'm as much of as much of a hyper polarised doom scrolling political obsessive as the rest of you, I too love schadenfreude but might I suggest rather than thinking about Charlie Kirk ever again, you listen to a couple songs by Toots and the Maytals.

Drew why are you freaking out about older professional women drew, did your mum ask you to get a real job again?
you can see the inverse reaction here, where mr pavlou has a bizarre meltdown because of a picture of some ladies lifting a man off the ground

the pic is just some people being silly and having fun, but the idea of the inversion of The Natural Order™️ is a metaphysical threat to some

I'm seeing a bit of Niemöller criticism, but we shouldn't forget that post war Niemöller wasn't trying to minimize his complicity, he was doing self-criticism.

And god I wish all the liberals who helped midwife the horrors in the middle east felt compelled to do this level of self-criticism.

It seems a bit optimistic to think we are at the seelow heights part of American fascism.
Oh look, ICE is copying literal Nazi recruiting propaganda again. The poster on the right is for the Volkssturm, the Nazi militia of older men and boys established during the final months of World War II.

No one in the feminist movement has the courage to hijack the conversation and reframe it as a very real crisis in the supply of fuckable let alone marriageable men. Let alone advocate the totalitarian policies nessesary to solve the problem.
The left is completely silent on the subject of men getting laid - which, generally speaking, they are v.interested in doing and will continue to be interested in regardless of whether progressives want to talk about it. So the stage has been left entirely clear for the far-right.
