Missed a chance to add something from a friend’s IG story to give a take of what is overrated so y’all are getting it instead

2000s bands

Some of y’all haven’t put out shit since 2008, stop riding the bandwagon and stay dead

New bookmark for every single Magic content creator in existence just dropped.
I made a new little MTG App. My simplest but probably most useful.

Ever quickly type out a deck or trade list, but you can't upload it somewhere cause card names aren't exactly right? Run it through the spellchecker to validate and auto correct every card name!

Magic: the Gathering Card Spellchecker
Spellcheck a list of Magic cards, correct spellings and punctuation to make sure card lists can be imported into other systems.

We're kicking off 2026 with a new website, a press kit, and a look back at the year just past which saw us running external playtests, hiking among the redwoods, and sleeping in racecar beds.

Ok yeah I mentioned it a few days ago but I think I'm gonna start a new little newsletter.

What's the best place to go for making this happen? I want something that can look nice. Also, I've been making shit on the web for 25 years, so if I can/need to do some front-end stuff I'm willing.

Well now that I’m thinking about this it makes me wanna start something we did for an old show I worked on that had a segment named Two Things.

Idea was to talk about two things you like — a book, album, kitchen hardware, anything. It’d be nice to start a new newsletter letting nice folks do this

I genuinely can’t remember if this is a memory or something I made up along the way (it’s been a long fucking 11 years) but I miss a point when GB had an email newsletter that individual folks wrote for. I feel like Jan had some really heartfelt stuff that hit hard at the time.

I would love anti-Wrapped content this year

– You used Google Maps less to get around town
– You spent less time on social media
– You were the least likely of your friends to know about a trend that lasted 8 days
– You felt less compelled to share every thought of every piece of media you consumed

Great metaphor for this, they wanted it to look like Einstein but it just comes off as someone who's very frazzled and concerned

My biggest goal in 2026 is to create more. Stopping my brain from stopping myself when something isn't the absolute perfect version of The Thing I envisioned. So as part of this effort, the newsletter is back
