Just stood there crying like a baby for a while.

One of the greatest endings to a game of football I've ever seen. Absolute chaos and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Scotland have qualified for a World Cup for the first time in my lifetime.

Heroes, every one of them. Over and out.

Exactly this. It shouldn't be the responsibility of part-time lower eague sides to bear the brunt of Premiership teams inability to develop their own players.

Just release them and let them find their level or loan them out to the very clubs you're making them play 6 pointless friendlies against.
So, the bottom 10 teams (of 30) at the end of the league stage of the #SPFL #Challenge Cup are the 10 "invited" B teams. They have offered no competition, but the SPFL clubs have been forced to, effectively, provide training games for the big clubs' youth teams. 1/3

Disappointing to see how commonplace the use of phrases like "fighting aged males" has become.

That phrase isn't used in any other context, and certainly not when describing white British males.

Using "fighting age" instead of "working age" is so obviously part of the fascist 'invasion' rhetoric.

It's not asylum seekers who jack up rents, undermine the NHS, hold down wages and keep people insecure.
It's capital.
The role of the far right is to shift the blame for decades of economic attacks by the rich and powerful onto powerless people who have only just arrived here.

Why, you might ask, do the BBC and Sky News, casting their editorial guidelines to the wind, keep giving massive airtime to the far right, while shutting out leftwing voices? Don't their bosses understand the likely consequences?
Only one explanation now remains.
They do.
And it is what they want.

Genuinely brilliant to see more success for Scottish footballers in the top leagues. Last week or two has seen:

Andy Robertson picking up his second Premier League title.

Lewis Ferguson captaining Bologna to a Coppa Italia.

Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour winning the Scudetto.

Funny how quickly the mask slips with these wannabe hard men.

Stupid bigot completely loses the rag in seconds when some old boy doesn't want to shake his hand.

Pleasing.
Racist Paul Golding being shown up in public.

Craig Telfer managing to stumble across his own Wikipedia page during the intro to this podcast was worth the listen on it's own 😂
Lower-league Scottish football podcast!

Good to see Maitlis doing some proper journalism and actually holding people to account for their rhetoric on this type of thing.

Too often these kind of views (that are not based in any kind of fact) go completely unchecked when spouted by the far right.
"Why do you 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 talk about Pakistani grooming gangs? There are 𝙩𝙚𝙣 times as many white grooming gang suspects?"

@maitlis.bsky.social asks ex-Reform MP @rupertlowe.bsky.social why he won't denounce all perpetrators of grooming gangs equally.

Perhaps, it's the wall-to-wall TV coverage the media give him and his cronies?

A consistent platform to cultivate the image of the pint swilling English hero, without any challenge to his politics and dangerous party rhetoric.

This is a man that lost 7 elections, yet still fills our screens daily.

Entirely predictable but very depressing.

Starmer has been telling all of us for a long time that his dad was a tool maker.

He certainly was.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer is preparing tougher measures on immigration to stem a record flow of arrivals across the English Channel and stave off the threat posed by Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party after it made sweeping gains in this week’s local elections.

Why does Starmer's Labour Party seem determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?
Because it hates the left more than it fears the far right.
As a result it won't do the "left" things so many of its potential supporters are crying out for.

Labour is handing this country on a silver platter to Reform. People do not vote Labour because they hate immigrants and want Reform-lite. They vote Labour because they want it to make a positive difference to their lives.

Clyde FC were kicked out of their ground, Broadwood, in 2022.

Next season, like the last, they will be playing out of Hamilton's ground, New Douglas Park.

Hamilton, having just been kicked out of New Douglas Park, will be playing at Broadwood next season.
