What doesn’t make sense about the treaty between the #uk and #France is that it anticipates that certain #asylum seekers will cross the channel without a #visa and makes safe routes conditional on those journeys! Safe routes should be independent of irregular routes and not conditional upon them!

With #IranUnderAttack #IsraeliranWar , some nationals of both countries are stranded in the UK, and visas may have expired or due to expire; spouses being apart, I have written to the Home Secretary as the gov has not made any policy announcements about immigration control! Govmnt should act now.

Labour’s possible plans to scrap #EHCPs is quite worrying! EHCP was introduced to provide a holistic support system for children with #specialeducationneeds. Any system which is to replace it should ensure it works for the children and the parents from early childhood well into their adult lives.

If a person visits a place of #worship of a different #faith group, should the visitor be free to for example not wear a headscarf or hat or any other symbols of faith of the dominant faith group or should he/she be compelled to follow the rules/#customs of the faith group when on their premises?

The opening ceremony of Guru Nanak #Gurdwara #Camberley highlighted the fact that British communities are diverse and Councils benefit from diversity officers. The #Reform Mayor’s decision to sack a #diversity officer to save money can come at a high cost in the future if communities are divided!

#Reform’s first mayor, said upon being elected that asylum seekers should be put in tents. Whilst the current system isn’t working for either #asylum seekers or the public, her idea will not only not work but will increase #crime rates, burden on the #NHS, and #poverty! There is no dignity in this!

Some voters say Nigel #Farage has been honest about #immigration. I recall during his Brexit campaign he failed to say that if we were to leave the #EU, we would also have to leave the Dublin treaty which after #Brexit resulted in us not being able to return people who crossed the channel on #boats.

Reform made a historic victory yesterday at the UK’s #elections. Some say it’s because they talk honestly on issues but honesty is about talking about all sides of a story and not just certain views. Reform now has a duty to #serve everyone including #migrant #communities. Can they deliver? #reform
