The first time I saw this painting I misread the title as "Nude Defending a Staircase" which... is a pretty awesome title for a story.
The very first one ever!

One fascinating and yet expected thing is that none of the big foreign accounts pretending to be American are left of center, or even anti-Trump. Not a single one. Says something about the economics and geopolitics of political grifting

Holy shit. So Elon decides it would be nice to know what region of the world people are posting from. So they add that little feature.
2 hours later they figure out that many Trump supporters with millions of followers are posting from other countries. Surprise!
That "feature" is now gone.

The biggest divide is not between “right” and “left." It’s between democracy and oligarchy. The billionaires who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us. They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see that they have all the wealth and power.

Noem should resign over this.

Hegseth should resign over the Signal Chat scandal.

Trump should resign over the demo of the East Wing, the billions he’s made as POTUS, the hotel deals in Gaza…

None of them ever will. They know all they need to do is lay low until the storm passes.

no. I am a poor little peasant living just after the advent of the printing press. I have five books at most and I will reread them so much they will know the death of the author was caused by me

The New York Times editorial board says Trump is "often in open defiance of the law." Yet the newsroom keeps using weasel wording like "testing the limits" and "stretching the boundaries." Either the NYT edit board is factually wrong or the NYT newsroom is afraid of the truth. You know what I think.

The New York Times likes to say Trump "has stretched the limits of his powers” and “tests the boundaries of the presidency.” But this is not a test or a stretching exercise. He’s a lawless politician building a dictatorship. Say it. 🧵 1/3
