A TNG scene. We're in the Enterprise conference room, where Picard is holding a meeting with Data, Troi, and Dr Crusher. Barclay is also there, for unknown reasons. Maybe he wandered into the meeting and just sat down, and everyone was too polite to mention it. That happened to me once. I was visiting an office location I didn't normally go to and I wasn't quite sure which conference room I was supposed to be in. I walked into one and sat down and it took me five minutes to realize I was in the wrong meeting. From the perspective of the people in that room, halfway through that meeting, a stranger walked in, sat next to the boss, took notes for five minutes, then walked out without saying a word.

Visting the Parthenon in Nashville is great because half the people there are admiring the meticulous handsculpted 1:1 gilt reconstruction of one of humanities greatest ancient temples to Athena

and the other half are going "omg this is where they filmed the Percy Jackson movie"

A fully gilt statue of Athena stands of 40 fert tall inside the Nashville, TN Parthenon. She is holding a statue of winged Nike, who is 6ft+ for scale. Her robes have fine sculpted folds, and she wears a golden helmet, carries a golden shield, golden spear, and beside her is a giant golden snake. For scale the image shows her against many backdrop columns implying her great height. A pulled out view of museum go-ers in from of the Parthenon statue of Athena. The East pediment— above the ancient entrance to the temple— depicts the dramatic story of the birth of Athena who sprang as a fully grown warrior from the head of her father, Zeus. The pediment shows Nike, the goddess of Victory, flying to place the victor’s wreath on Athena’s helmet, thus commemorating Greece’s recent real-time defeat of the Persians and making the Parthenon a votive, or offering of thanks, to their patron goddess.

Here is an old #WIP of my #Merman armor that I made for a commission. These plates were all textured, dyed a variety of blues, sealed with wax and then laced together with a heavy leather lace. Eventually this creates a whole cuirass of my own design.
