At this point, I suspect the government will stay shut down till after Christmas. If it even reopens then. They are determined to keep Adelita Grijalva from being sworn in, and of course with no govt, Trump doesn’t need to seek their approval on anything he wants to do.

He is basically a monarch.

Honestly, I don’t see him ever facing justice. Any single one of the things he’s doing would have toppled a Dem president, but he remains in power & is growing more deranged by the day.

Same. After Jan 6th I thought he was toast. I expected him to face immediate consequences and be banned from running again. Unfortunately the Dems appointed Garland to investigate him, & he just dragged his feet for 4 years. Plus, the right controls the narrative in many places.

Yep. They go with whatever they think will get them the most views. Even when folk point out errors in their reporting, they rarely remove the offending article from their online sites.

And of course there’s a load of ppl who get all their ‘news’ from Facebook & YouTube.

Are you saying that if Reform wins the next GE, the blame will lie with people who don’t vote Labour, rather than with the Labour Party itself, which has abandoned almost every policy that their core base believes in?

As Labour currently stands, they’re as appealing to me as the Tories & Reform.

Thank you! I’ve had fibromyalgia since 2001 & sometimes the pain is crippling.

Weirdly, when the days shorten & the weather gets worse, my pain also intensifies. I don’t know if it’s psychosomatic or if there’s some relation between the levels of daylight & my brain’s pain signals.

I doubt he will EVER be held accountable. He’s a walking timebomb. Having lost my stepdad to heart failure, I can see the signs in Trump. The only reason he’s still alive is because he has the best medical care in the world. If he was an ordinary citizen, he’d have expired months ago or more.

Exactly what happened with MAGA. And unfortunately we have a mainstream media that amplifies Reform’s lies and refuses to criticise and fact-check Farage. If the media was truthful, & did its job, the people who hang on Farage’s every word MIGHT have realised he’s a lying grifter who hates them.

What has absolutely disgusted me is the number of MAGA folk posting stuff that mocks ppl on SNAP, & applauds the GOP for what they’re doing. I had no idea the level of hatred & inhumanity in some Americans.

For clarity, this kind of selfish mindset isn’t unique to the US. I’m seeing it here too.

I said last year that if he won, that would be the end of elections in the US. The pushback I got on here was so surprising. I was accused of ‘scaremongering’ & being ignorant of the US electoral system.

No one is pushing back now. I read the bulk of Project 2025 & everything in that is happening.
