Why I joined #TheResistance? Because I am a patriot and I want to save our Democracy, American values, respect for diversity and human rights, a clean environment, a peaceful world. Trump is undermining everything we stand for including the Rule of Law and Separation of Power.

Good discussion with @gregsargent.bsky.social on No Kings and the right to protest: "They’re trying to turn it into something really evil. But that’s because they’re scared of it, and they know it turns public opinion... I think they should be worried, because nothing they’re doing is popular."

Let's be clear: If North Carolina Republicans gerrymander their already illegal map further, they will be sued and they will lose.

We’re in the second Gilded Age just like the first — when America’s wealth was in the hands of a few, money corrupted politics, and working people were abused and exploited.

It can be easy to feel discouraged, but the first Gilded Age teaches us lessons on how we can fight back.

Former President Biden on the ceasefire deal:

“The road to this deal was not easy. My Admin. worked relentlessly to bring hostages home, get relief to Palestinian civilians, and end the war. I commend President Trump and his team for their work to get a renewed ceasefire deal over the finish line”

Unlike in Missouri and other states, if North Carolina Republicans redistrict, there is nothing Democrats can do about it. The only hope of stopping this is through protests and phone calls…and then if it passes, organizing in such a way that we overcome the new maps.

Look sharp, North Carolina.

You’ve got some protesting to do, some phone calls to make, and some voters to register.
