Prepping for my panel tomorrow ("Just let me sell a Canadian story, dammit!") and also packing up to check out in the AM. Although I plan to call and see if I can store my things up at the front desk, because they call it "luggage" for a reason.

Right? Definitely think it's the existential dread thing, also I find that kids yelling about anything nonstop can be stressful.

That said I kind of appreciate it? Not sure how it originated, but I'm not sure I care to know; perhaps that would actually make me like it less...

Being at Can*Con always makes me think about being a writer.

A writer of what? Sure don't know. It's been years of having the best intention to publish my thesis as a nonfic but for that to happen I'd have to... work on it. Kind of would rather do #solarpunk flashfic tbh.

I now have had to consult 2 different hotel staff about how to turn off the light behind my headboard so I can actually sleep tonight. There is a third one on the way. Hopefully this does it. I am so tired and I cannot find this stupid lightswitch. I feel like it should be intuitive...

Note to self: bring a larger piece of luggage next time. I have insufficient outfits. I also forgot a bathing suit and a hairbrush. This is slightly mitigated by the fact that I am quietly enjoying myself, although dealers' room interactions are never not awkward for me #CanCon2025

Omw to #cancon2025 and have a "layover" in Toronto and the bus terminal change is kind of blowing my mind. It used to be so terrible in the late 00s, I'm so glad it's no longer a grungy, half-abandoned hole. It's so clean and nice in here! I can sit down and plug in!
