NEW: I arrived in the U.S. eight weeks ago to report on how the administration’s immigration crackdown was playing out from the front lines.

What I saw Thursday was the culmination of ICE’s aggressive behavior.

@kristygreenberg.bsky.social helpful reminder about Boasberg’s order. Is there a procedure to lift an administrative stay?

@rickperlstein.bsky.social “Many think…” what’s your evidence?
This critique of GOP officeholders is oft incorrect. It projects liberal views on conservatives. Many think what Trump is doing is courageous and admire him for a brazenness they wish they possessed themselves; that "giving in" to the "woke mob" to oppose would be the spineless choice.

I'm here in Mount Kisco, NY to tell Donald Trump, Elon Musk and the GOP

HANDS OFF AMERICA

Much of the focus on today's events will probably be the large rallies in big cities

But make no mistake

It is the smaller rallies

The local rallies

That will be the backbone of this movement

Given their legal shoddiness, the BigLaw orders "are fairly clearly an exercise in abusing the legal process to inflict harm on administration enemies and warning others not to cross this president. The goal is to achieve the immediate effects, before the courts can finally resolve the issues."

Worth reading this thread. The federal judge is very unhappy with the drek the government is presenting.
Judge Brinkema asked the government what their position was; do they still have TPS, and if so, how are they being held?

The government said it was their position that they did still have TPS — a confusing answer given what DHS tried to do — then said they were being held as public safety threats.
