My favourite thing about this is Jones Sr quoting Charlemagne, a quote Stoppard freely confessed he completely made up

Hardly his most important work, but I remember having my mind blown by learning he had rewritten most of the dialogue on INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE, one of the funniest movies ever made

It's such a bizarre framing. Labour MPs think taking 450k kids out of poverty is putting the country first! That's why they wanted it to happen! It's not because they personally benefit.

I'm reading a very good new book about John Candy. It includes a touching foreword from Dan Aykroyd, which is impossible to read without hearing his voice.
