About a week ago I was in the village where I grew up. Took these pictures of a water mill inside an alley for someone who asked about that place.

He took me bird hunting…

I also met Gatt after not seeing him for a long time. 😊

Not the greatest weather here lately, but I got out yesterday for a few and met the poop-inspectors…

It was surprisingly painless.

recoverydrive.exe isn't doing too well either. 🤷‍♀️

I'm about to install CachyOS and I'm scared, because the only backup computer I have is a Steam Deck. 🥺

The Windows 10 tool to create backup images of your install can't create a corresponding bootable device for you to restore that image unless you still have a CD/DVD burner lying around. 🤔
Got to manually launch recoverydrive.exe for that, something that's not in the backup/restore/recovery GUI.

Really enjoying the actual game part of the game. Though the story feels like it's trying its best to get me to break the Y-button on my keyboard ("skip dialogue line") out of boredom. 😐

While the cinematography is neat, the first 15 hours of Cyberpunk 2077 just felt like I accidentally skipped 40+ hours of story missions that were supposed to get me attached to that one guy who died and the protagonist who will/could. Instead I'm watching every cutscene with the ¯\_(ツ)_/¯-emotion.

I, aehm, this… Yeah…

Probably still the BF2 Demo, which in hindsight somehow ended up being the best multiplayer version of that game.

Bonus today is this landscape scene featuring ground fog that I like (and shot at 150mm (equivalent) due to cold fingers 🙃)

(4/4🧵)
Landscape photograph of a mowed meadow in the foreground, followed be an unmowed part of the meadow, followed by the overhead line of a rail track, followed by a bunch of low fog across a field, followed by another field higher up, treeline even further up a hill in the background, some of the horizon visible

Pretty sure that's the kestrel on the left. Other photo is a song thrush I think

Morning was really cool (literally). First pic is the meadow where the "stork" was yesterday… which I was told is probably some type of heron and not a stork.

These first three were taken with some ancient 35mm Beroflex lens.

Is there any indication it was not just the inverse? As in a (dangerous) one-way shortcut down until one rings the bell which wakes up the dog thus enabling the way out.

I don't have much this time, but I got up very early yesterday for a little rabbit holdout. "Heavy fog" warning on my phone so I went out even earlier than I planned. 🙃

Maybe they just never polished it to line up because at that point they were aware that the elevator breaking in the non-prototype maps could easily lock the player down there.
Though I think this could have been a dope way to force people taking the shortcut to traverse Blighttown in reverse.

Bonus sneaking stork because you made it to the end:
