rhombus keys are wack, they seem totally designed for some kind of puzzle about shuffling around a limited amount of them, but then they never actually do anything with it and just give you a billion of them

real "somebody had An Idea so they just added it and forgot to follow through" energy

sprinting gets a pass though because the platforming is freaking sick, more in KF3 please

also populating the magic dragon cyberzone with literal reskinned termites is a level of sheer audacity I can only aspire to

the map has much more of a sense of placeness to it with the more detailed environments and the single seamless layout, although it's a bit of a shame that the addition of sprinting and more flexible teleporting means you can just zoom through and ignore most of it by the lategame

I finished King's Field (US) 🙂

it really feels like the actual game that KFJP was just a prototype for, although in a way that makes me appreciate the unapologetic skungness of the original even more

FS' predilections are already showing through quite strongly, overall 10/10 it is in fact peak
