this is a pleasant surprise after there were no hints of an upgrade path in the initial announcement.
but, while $15 isn’t like a lot, I still see no reason to spend it. I haven’t heard anything good about the director‘s cut stuff

Whenever I say this, people get Really Mad, but it's true. Same of any other art, too. You have to read the book, watch the film, see the painting, listen to the song, whatever.

"you have not played the game unless you've played the game" is one of my more annoying but unshakable opinions
the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

turns out, it remains true that whenever you have some sort of parody on the internet, unless you identify it as such with big bold letters, there are going to be people who take it seriously

to be honest I think one of the biggest reasons Persona 4 Golden caught my attention back in 2012 was because I was surprised that a game with colorful artwork of smiling characters had been rated M by the ESRB

I remember that at one point I thought twilight princess' music sounded very realistic, but listening now I think "HOW DID I EVER THINK THAT, THIS IS SO MIDI IT ALMOST HURTS"
but hey, it's a gamecube game, the midi sounds pretty good for the time
more live orchestra tracks would do wonders though

I think the Chidori and Junpei story is one of the big elements that elevates persona 3's story above the other games for me
