"I Contain Multitudes"

This digitally painted piece honors coyote by tracing its lineage from the first cells of life to the animal trotting our cities and the wilderness today.

The thread gives descriptions of all the extinct organisms shown in this piece (not to scale)

I implore folks to learn what necro-politics is, because that's where the global far-right is at ideologically about now.

These people legit just get to choose whether people live or die or whose life matters most.

(I.e., them deciding his diabetes wasn't worth treating.)

The Washington Post has just published every single known name.

A seminal moment.

I can confirm the PBS Passport is a very good deal for $5/month or $2.50/month if you do yearly.

Thousands of hours of top notch content. NOVA is great. The new Ken Burns doc on Leonardo da Vinci is excellent.

Teaching AI literacy.

(GenAI is wrong A LOT. And even though people tend to think it saves time, we now have randomized controlled trials that show situations where it takes *more* time even when participants self-report it's saving them time.)

Added more to my thread yesterday about novels being sustained by a series of questions!

I thought this context could be important bc process doesn’t work universally. I’ve learned other methods that I think came from writers grounded in plot/character/whatever. I’m mostly grounded in theme!
…okay since ppl are reading this, let me give a quick disclaimer that I’m an extremely theme-centric writer, which is prob why this works for me.

Those series of questions are essentially an extension to “theme,” so theme isn’t just 1 word like “grief” or even a thesis statement like “grief kills.”
