Autumn, the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness and of opaquely funded, Tufton Street adjacent, would be entryist group Restore Trust trying to get its rosta of candidates elected to the National Trust council.

Expect hit jobs on vegan scones in the Telegraph.

NT members, you know what to do.

Which reminds me, it's that time of year again for National Trust members to vote. The easiest way is to use the 'quick vote' to keep out the traditionalist 'Restore Trust' candidates. secure.cesvotes.com/V3-3-0/nt25/...

BBC breakfast once again highlighting the delay in payments for the Post Office scandal. Maybe they should take another look at the delay in payments for the #taintedblood scandal which has been going on for much much longer? Tainted blood was actually responsible for killing people. #BBCBreakfast

Zoe is always the voice of clarity and reason.
The ultimate irony of halving net immigration numbers:

You can do it without reducing small boats crossings at all!!

This is Nigel Farage’s immigration doom-loop & Starmer is up to his neck in the death trap like the Tories before him 🤦‍♀️

If you live on #IsleOfSkye watch out for an absolute lunatic driving a silver pick up truck. Clipped mirror whilst overtaking us towards oncoming traffic having already overtaken car behind on a blind bend.

I think this nails it.
Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

Really frustrating that the infected blood payments still haven’t been made. Perhaps we should be getting the Americans to pay the billion pound compensation as it was their infected blood and plasma that infected our families. #infectedbloodinquiry

It’s that time of year again where people request nesting boxes and insect hotels. Don’t forget to clean out and spruce up your nest boxes ready for the season.

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

This is the right move. For so many reasons:

A tiny tax on people who will barely notice - £24bn a year to help fund Ukraine and keep up foreign aid - and so much more that’s crying out to be done right here in Britain.

All without putting any more on the shoulders of working people

@celiarichardson.bsky.social Please can the Trust review its offering for Coeliacs? Just been to The Devils punch bowl and at 12.00 the only lunch was one gluten free sandwich which we shared! Staff were friendly and helpful as usual but this isn’t the first property where theres no hot food option.
