The best part of this skeet is that William Carlos Williams' day job was as a family doctor.
It is difficult
to get the news from poems
yet men die miserably every day
for lack
of what is found there.

If you are providing me with an education that is low utility in the world then it’s a disservice. My composition class spent four weeks on poetry. I’m sorry, but that only would’ve been useful if I wanted to be a poet. I don’t need to know iambic pentameter in order to be a victim advocate.

Another question came up with a kid going basically "I didn't like the ending of that book" and me saying "Good."

I am not here to make people HAPPY with NEAT ENDINGS I am here to ANNOY PEOPLE and write what I WANT

I could run a GURPS campaign (including character creation!) with no rulebooks. Entirely from frickin’ memory.
What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

When I was a security guard 40+ years ago, a number of posts had manual elevators. I got very good at getting the elevator to line up perfectly with the floor at which I wanted to exist.

I was the second fastest cashier at the supermarket I worked at & would routinely have a perfectly accurate drawer after thousands of dollars of small transactions. The fastest cashier was a charming chatterbox (who also had perfect drawers) but you wouldn’t get a word out of me, I was goddamn busy.

Movie you've watched more than six time with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (either War or Trek), LOTR, or Marvel.

Every now and then I think about how overwhelmingly foundational gamergate was to the hellscape which we now inhabit and I feel so fucking tired

And I beat a biter down with an alunimum bat
A lot of people they be jonesin' just to hear me rock the mic
They be staring at the radio, staying up all night

In this corner with the Ninety-Eight
Subject of suckers, object of hate
Who's the one some think is great?
I'm that one (son of a gun!)
Drivin' by wavin' my fist
Makin' 'em mad when I'm goin' like this
Top gun, never on the run
(They know not to come 'cause they’ll get some)
