A mi-go on Yuggoth, illustrated by Michael Bukowski: a bizarre insect pod creature with bat wings, many legs and tentacles, a couple of crab-like pincers, and an odd brainlike head covered in cilia. The creature holds some gadgets (a lightning-gun, brain cylinder, etc.); it stands in a bleak, alien landscape with distant monoliths, uncannily nearby planets in the sky, and fumes rising from cracks in the ground.

look at that thing
The back cover of David Gilmour’s 1984 solo album About Face. The cover consists mainly of a photo of him in a brown jacket, sitting down holding a guitar, staring into the middle distance and not at all looking like he’s actually strumming the guitar. The guitar is beautifully worn, with its sunburst finish worn off of the whole top of the body, where he and/or someone else has strummed it for countless hours.
