If y'all see me post something up here and it suddenly disappears, that's usually me.

I'm very much a borderline perfectionist when it comes to writing.

Doesn't help either when there's no edit button so I can't fix glaring text errors.

So, that said, please accept my apologies if I delete posts.

The thing about electoralism is that it promises you can just get one guy to solve your problems and that's sadly just not possible when the problems we face are so large.
Well... that's just... underachieving.

Here's the bar.

statements like

"half the marines I know have tattoos like that"

"the average millennial had a Nazi phase"

just expose your social circles lol
The social contract is a reification. It isn't dead; it just doesn't exist.

And we've reached the point where authoritarians like Trump and the GOP are just being bluntly honest they've zero obligation to humor fantasies treated as truth anymore.

That's why they're being more boldly horrid now.
Spec Ops: The Line is as far as mainstream gaming is going in using war as a satirical refuge in audacity to critique how horrific war is.

It was released in 2012 and it's just beyond pathetic how mainstream gaming has opted for cowardice in not trying to one up the bar that anti-war war game set.
Yay! The slave patrollers are wounding and killing one another.
Any protest that involves patriotism towards nation-states is a reason why I'm not so keen on largely liberal helmed protests like No Kings.

Patriotism is, to paraphrase Wilde, a virtue of the vicious sycophant.

Patriotism is a major fuel for neo-fascism being on the rise. Liberals don't get that.
Every time a liberal claims the founders of the U.S. would be aghast at Trump being a mean sociopath towards the working class, just point to the Whiskey Rebellion.

It's straight up kryptonite to them. It'll always shut them up or scratch them they'll become the fascists they pretend to hate.

Fuck the White House. Feed those in need.
i wish people cared more about the concept that like. our government has money to remodel the white house but no money for SNAP vs like, “oh this building i have zero personal attachment to is being damaged and it’s hurting my feelings”
When a neoliberal goes "give me a solution to fight fascism that isn't violent."

Well, they've just admitted they know anti-authoritarian violence works.

They'd just rather it not be employed because that's both an inconvenience to their comfort and the elitist status quos they pretend to hate.
If your "big tent" allows and tolerates fascists then it's a tent that needs to be set on fire.
“We are experiencing a reality based on a thin veneer of lies and illusions. A world where greed is our God and wisdom is sin, where division is key and unity is fantasy, where the ego-driven cleverness of the mind is praised, rather than the intelligence of the heart.”
―Bill Hicks
Last I checked, liberals were still on the right / authoritarian side of the political scale.

Make any effort to start veering left specifically by thinking it's okay to throw the marginalized to the wolves to keep nation-statism healthy.

Otherwise you can fuck off with this big tent bullshit.
Folks demanding political / ideological purity fail to see that this is no longer a movement belonging to the left / liberals. This is an opposition against fascism. By definition it must be big tent. Failure to grasp this: see divided oppositions in Eastern Europe as your failed examples.

If you think 'having a big tent' means you've got to allow people who call for the extermination of others within that tent, but can't allow people who say 'we shouldn't let those fascists in the tent,' then you've decided that the oppressors are more important than the oppressed.
Obama bombed a U.S. citizen in the same brutal fashion as Trump is doing to seafaring folk right now.

All presidents are bloodsoaked murderers WITHOUT exception.

Films are just as vulnerable to loss as video games are.

The German horror classic "Nosferatu" was almost lost forever due to the Stoker estate using copyright as a cudgel to destroy all copies of it.

And that's what Miyamoto's company Nintendo does towards digital game preservation ironically.
I've made peace with us not getting a genuinely terrific anti-war war story like "Spec Ops: The Line" had ever again.

That is as far up the mountain the mainstream game industry is daring to go in using war as a refuge in audacity to critique it as bad.
Democrats are STILL a right-wing party, skippy.

Also, the flying fuck is wrong is having a little fun while helping out other individuals?
Tell your state police to arrest ICE then because you are bending the knee right now in letting them help ICE.

I appreciate the No Kings protest. It should be useful to show people that there are more than enough of us to fight back. But we will have to fight. And white liberals are terrified of violence.
Leon Czolgosz's successful assassination of William McKinley in 1901 resulted in the U.S. government getting so spooked of the wrath of workers like him it quickly enacted all sorts of boons to workers and more regulations of capitalism.

Gradualism is bullshit. Betterment can happen quickly.
Slave patrollers killing and injuring each is such wonderful schadenfreude.
