Great summary of the day by @peterlangdon.bsky.social It felt like it was one of those talks that resonated with a lot of people. Lots of break time discussion about recruitment, ethics, gatekeepers and funding. So much energy and desire for improvement gives me a kick up the bum to keep going!

Thank you! Angela Henderson and Debbie Cairns were co-applicants on our project so we learned a lot from the citizens jury. It was such a great piece of work you all did.

How should you respond to a regime that has disregard for health and wellbeing, ignores the central role of inequalities in poor health outcomes, and believes science and scholarship to be enemies of progress?

"Amanda Jones, a librarian in Louisiana, has received death threats since speaking out against book bans. She was labelled a paedophile and filmed by strangers in public. She fears going out alone. “I can name a librarian in every state this has happened to — and I fear it’s only going to get worse”
I am the ‘Michael Jordan of book banning’. This is why I do it

Currently low response rates from CTU Directors (n=5), Programmers/Data Managers (n=0), & QA Managers (n=3) working in clinical trials. We need to know what these groups think the challenges are for greener trials.

This is just so cruel. My wife works at a school attended by many kids with disabilities, and one of my daughters is neurodivergent. I am at a loss for words. This state just keeps disappointing me.
Utah is among the states suing for the right to discriminate against disabled people & that your disabled child can be discriminated against in school in school

"The lawsuit says that no one should have to follow any part of Section 504"

Call Governor Cox & the Atty General 801 366-0260 #utpol
Section 504 covers all parts of society that get money from the United States government.
Section 504 and its rules are very important, especially in education and healthcare. Here are
some ways that Section 504 and its rules help us. The rules in Section 504 say that:
●
●

●
Schools must include students with disabilities and help them learn.
Doctors and schools must have sign language interpreters for people who are Deaf or
hard of hearing who sign. Videos must have captions.
Doctors must give clear information to disabled people. This includes people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Websites for schools and hospitals must work for people who are blind or low-vision.
Doctors and hospitals cannot stop helping someone because they have a disability.
Doctors and hospitals must have tools and machines that work for wheelchair users.
This includes machines that check for cancer.
