Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

I take it that his voters were starting to notice the immigration policies were harmful to them, so instead of facing the consequences of their own choices, they complained and got a TACO.
This should break our hearts and push us even harder to speak out against the cruelty of the Trump administration's immigration enforcement policies.

I know this belief is prevalent in NE Ohio: “Farm subsidies remain broadly popular because Americans mistakenly believe such policies exist to protect poor, struggling family farmers from crop and weather unpredictability. In reality, farm subsidies are America’s largest corporate welfare program.”

History isn’t supposed to be comfortable. It’s supposed to be honest. We don’t learn from a past we pretend didn’t happen. Rewriting our history doesn’t protect us. It makes us weaker. And more likely to repeat the very mistakes they don’t want us to remember.

They say the agency is exempt from FOIA. That judges can’t enforce transparency. That accountability is optional. When a secretive agency is rewriting how government works, in the shadows, the public deserves answers.
