My wife was deported and I lost my job when they shut down the factory because of tariffs. But at least this year I know I won't have to hear "I Have a Little Dreidel" at my kid's Christmas concert.

I lost my job, there are no toys on the shelves, and the only hospital within 100 miles of my house just closed. But at least I know that now there won't be any non-binary characters on Paw Patrol.

If you read my post a couple posts back...this makes me sick. Many immigrants need an expensive lawyer, time for tests, interviews, and paperwork, and hours missed at work to navigate the nats process. These are smiling happy people, wearing their best, and waving their tiny flags. Unacceptable.

I was hoping she would see justice in her 100+ years on this earth, but this is America.
With my shiny Medicaid, I had genetics testing done with my mom's breast surgeon. The doctor did her bilateral mastectomy last year. I'm very high risk. I should probably have a preventative mastectomy, but fuuuuuck. They can reconstruct and all of that, but I don't want fake ones.

In almost 20 years of living in Charlotte, not once did I give a second thought to living among immigrants...except when it was my job at DHS. I processed all naturalizations in NC and did green card paperwork. Naturalization ceremonies were my favorite part, so much that...1/2
