I’ve seen multiple outlets, including the @nytimes.com and @financialtimes.com write out “the so-called department of government efficiency” and I’m down with that.
I think news outlets should put department in quotes, like "department" of government efficiency to make plain that it's not actually a departmental government.
Also every single time you need to write that it's a cryptocurrency named as a joke.

That’s when you’re SUPPOSED to march. Empty protests just to vent are useless distraction. Protesting when they don’t want you to, or won’t allow it, is the whole point.
I would caution anyone entertaining this sentiment. Mass protests are likely to be dangerous. We no longer live in a country where the right to peacefully assemble exists for opponents of the regime.
We’re gonna have to march.

This language is confounding. The intent to be discriminatory is clear enough, but the way it’s written—what’s going to change? Are women’s restrooms going to have “female restroom” signs?

Genuine question: Should non-white citizens (like myself) walk around with our citizenship documentation now? Do I need to carry my certificate of naturalization or U.S. passport on me at all times?
