I'm noticing that engagement has kindof been cratering, but favs haven't. People will fav a post but not comment or repost it, I've noticed this with others as well.

The thing is, when you leave the realm of AAA games, gaming is cheaper and more exciting than ever. The problem is that the drama and clickbait associated with the AAA scene generates the clicks/views online...
"I don't want to drop $100 on a video game" and "gamers are entitled whiners who are everything wrong with the modern consumer" are actually both reasonable positions. Reasonable to hold at once even!

honestly I'm looking forward to execs scratching their head when their entirely nostalgia based marketing and business decisions doesn't work at all because they went for generations without making anything for kids to get attached to on their own, assuming their inherited nostalgia will stay strong
