A client just texted to tell me that recent tests have shown they likely have an autoimmune disorder, vs the cancer they thought they might have. They then proceeded to tell me that my being present AND maintaining healthy boundaries was important to them. 🥰 I am a mess with a very full heart!!!

I was a touring stand-up comic for 15 years. I worked close to every one of those New Years Eves…it was one of the better paying gigs of the year.
I’ve spent the last 18 NYEs with Amber, and more often than not at home.

Might be my favorite Noir and among my favorite films ever
My favorite part of working w/ people across the globe? Being able to wish them a Happy New Year several hours before my own 🥰 I was super excited to remember at just before 2p PST that it was about to be midnight in Finland, where a client lives. Anyhoo, wishing y’all a safe & drama-free evening!

Every year on New Year’s Eve and Day, we watch The Twilight Zone marathon. We’ve done this for several years now and these stories never get old! We used to watch it via SYFY, but within the last couple years we purchased the set and started watching our own randomized version.

I had a prospective client consultation today & I’m proud of myself for holding to my commitment to not take new insurance clients right now. I love being able to offer services that folx can afford. AND many insurance plans do NOT reimburse therapists well. So I’m limiting my insurance slots 💕✨🎉

So often, our inner “fight” response was squashed by abusive or neglectful others. I love helping folx reconnect to their anger (in safe ways, obvs), bc anger lets us know a need is unmet. I grew up with dangerous anger; it took me a long time to feel it & or to see how it can be helpful. #CPTSD
Trauma survivors in recovery are all rebels on some level. We're rebelling against what we were programmed to think; what we were conditioned to feel; what we were coerced into believing we "had" to do or be.
Recovery levels up when we connect w/ our inner guerilla.

We went to Musso & Frank’s in Hollywood for @jmkaudition.com’s birthday a few years back. Everyone in our group was going ape over seeing Edward James Olmos there with his dog. I missed it all entirely. Bc I am basically Dory from Finding Nemo 🤷🏻♀️

Old school Irish pubs were divided into the bar area, which was for the men, and the lounge area, where there were "snugs" (sort of private booths) for the ladies. You still see it in older pubs especially in rural areas, sometimes even with separate entrances. #OddManOut #NoirAlley #TCMParty
