Long time FAA contractor here. This is your reminder that while Secretary Pete was in office, the FAA controlled over 40 million scheduled airline flights with a grand total of 0 accidents. (The FAA does not control most small aircraft flying between airfields with no control tower).

Something baffling to me is I do not see a lot of discussion around how unsafe it is to fly right now.

The FAA has been operating at crisis levels for years & it's gotten markedly worse in the last 9 months.

Then, for swaths of the population—students, anyone brown/Black, LgbTqia+ folks...

The FAA will now let commercial drones fly beyond the operator’s line of sight.

The move will "unleash American drone dominance," Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said.

As a result, Duffy said, " You may get a Starbucks cup of coffee from a drone."

A legal permanent resident researching cures for Lyme disease has been detained by immigration officials for over a week.

He has reportedly been denied access to an attorney and his family has not been given a reason for his detention.
