I'm not joking about this. Fundamentally a CEO's job is to either rubber stamp or reject recommendations from people who are ACTUALLY qualified to make those decisions.

So by removing the CEO basically you just remove the idiot that tells people who actually know what they are doing "no."
alphapuppy.bsky.social
a) you're a CEO. You are functionally the most useless and expendable part of your entire company. Nothing you do qualifies as "work."

b) your grindset attitude toward work led to the creation of a computer that can't do math, so you'll have to excuse me if I don't just take your word on it

Hey there! I'm a bit low on funds and still have some bills to pay and food to buy this month.

This will be a Simple-Style Flat Color Drawing (normally $100), and will be done after my current batch of commissions. If you'd like one, fill out a form here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

If it were up to me it would be a blanket, zero exceptions ban & I wouldn't play fucking games with the crowd that wants to see how close they can get without actually touching the rule .

Take your dip shit loser cop outfits to an anime con or some shit and keep it out of our fandom.
alphapuppy.bsky.social
Even at the convention I worked at for a couple years routinely approved "tacticool" outfits that would fall afoul of BLFC's written rules, despite their own rule being written much more strictly.
alphapuppy.bsky.social
even outside the current political atmosphere, walking around a furcon cosplaying as some dipshit cop wannabe had always been grade A loser behavior.
alphapuppy.bsky.social
I have literally never seen a convention enforce these rules anywhere nearly as strictly as they are written, though (and they're never written strictly to begin with) so it remains to be seen how effective this actually is.
alphapuppy.bsky.social
Needs to be permanent, but it's nice seeing more conventions implementing rules banning the tacticool losers.

ugh the end of icebrood saga is such a fucking SLOG. why you do me dirty like this after teasing me with a good story
alphapuppy.bsky.social
My first character was actually a Sylvari, and for the life of me I can't understand why they aren't the most played, especially with the first expansion focusing so heavily on them.
alphapuppy.bsky.social
i will never have anything but praise for the storywriting and lore building in this game

This is why the inflatable costumes works so well -- it works the same way calling them "weird" or "creepy" did. It disrupts their narrative, and makes them seem pathetic rather than cool-and-cruel.

You need to see this:

“The show of force is the point. They want these images to be out…The Department of Homeland Security is walking around Chicago with a film crew.” @jacobsoboroff.bsky.social

I don't even have a cohesive narrative for my OCs, and what there is FREQUENTLY conflicts with itself because I just don't care, lol.

But the fact that I've developed my OCs - even just in my head - beyond just their appearance, definitely seems to pique people's interest.

I noticed this myself even with my silly little doodles. When they interconnect and have recurring characters with personalities and even a LITTLE bit of lore, it forms a story, and people are hungry to find out more about it, when i just put generic nameless characters in, its not as compelling

I've been working on an essay about The Struggles of TTRPG Outreach and Fandom but I think this tumblr post just captured the whole sentiment im like 100 words.
Fact: Apart from pure recognition factor, one of the major reasons your fanart gets more eyes on it than your OCd is because people are perverts for narrative context, and your OCs don't have any.

Corollary: you don't actually need to write a whole-ass graphic novel to achieve that narrative context. You do need to know what your OC's story is, but once you do, you can literally just draw contextless snapshots from that story that raise more questions than they answer and people will fill in the blanks.

"Hey... anyone else think it's weird the Commander's plans always involve her being captured?"

A bound, hogtied female Charr laying on her stomach in a disposable diaper. She is lifting her head, muzzle gagged with a red ball gag, and looking angrily at her captors off screen. She has a small pink pet collar around her neck and her fur is snow leopard patterned. A bound, hogtied female Charr laying on her stomach in a wet disposable diaper. If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
