I had a catholic education. We were taught to accept, unquestioningly, the existence of God. We were taught no evidence was needed to be a true believer.
As a 7 year old I knew this was dumb. As an adult I know it is total BS and about control.
Needless to say I’m not a believer, I like evidence.

My family medical insurance bill is almost €400 per month. The renewal came in for next year at nearly €500 per month. We ‘shopped around’ (there are only 3 providers) and got taken on by another company at the current rate. This is your future when the NHS is sold off. Fight for what you’ve got.

I came up to the loft, to use the phone over an hour ago ( only place I get any signal, & WiFi calling not working). The cat promptly sat on my knee. We've not moved since.

Oh I remember that winter, one morning the outside temperature is -17°c. The snow was fabulous, tastes the whole Christmas holiday, then we had a week of snow days. Happy memories.

Just home from a lovely walk on the beach. Had a lovely chat with an Australian lad, over on a European adventure, he said he dreamt of coming to Liverpool since he was a kid & it hadn't disappointed. He's hoping to go to Anfield tomorrow, I hope he make it there.
