One of the biggest issues in democratic politics is how the consultants everyone hires sees voters as just a cash machine and they pummel them with messages asking for money instead of activating them for politics. It rightfully makes people extremely cynical.

Weird how they want to know who's paying for the buses since, if I remember correctly, their icon and hero Charlie Kirk and TPUSA bragged about paying for buses to bring protesters on January 6th. The left protests for free, but the right needs paid buses. They are projecting again.

It's always about giving Trump more power than the Constitution allows to deal with an emergency which Trump has created or imagined to grab more power.

It's never "Congress needs to act to..."

This guarantees Americans will be paying higher prices since the price floors will eliminate the gains from comparative advantage in trade. Trump seems to think that mercantilism is the way to go, with each nation striving for autarky in a zero-sum game against all others. It's superficial thinking.

Supply is coming down because we are deporting so many and frightening even documented immigrants from working. Demand is coming down because the economy is faltering and fewer workers are needed. A bleak economic picture. Perhaps they are offsetting each other to create a balance in the U rate?

I agree. Let the candidates battle each other without the Dem establishment putting their thumb on the scale once again (their ideas got us to this powerless hell). Older Dems didn't let the next generation take over, and now they're preventing the generation after that from taking over.

That second condition is all important. Don't fund authoritarianism. How you manage that in any budget when Trump just spends the money as he wishes instead of how Congress has allocated it is a really big problem that needs a solution before you guys vote yes on any budget.
