Best musical variety show ever.
He's just such a wank magnet and his shows are so hit or miss.

But at least they're seldom total flops and it's better than not having an agency?
Oh man. Good luck to him, I hope Yu Zheng treats him right.
So many amazing things 😂
If you're wondering why disco only happened in the 80s in China, think about what was going down and what young people were up to in the 60s and 70s.
Taiwanese singer Frankie Kao released his Chinese cover of the ABBA classic in 1981 (with brand new lyrics).

Taiwanese-American singer Kris Phillips released a cover of this song in 1986 and that was the version that became popular in China.
Obligatory link to Xiao Zhan and Na Ying having just the best time performing the Chinese version of ABBA's Gimme Gimme Gimme

yeahhh. a foundational piece of this movement its insistence that trans people are unreliable narrators, even on ourselves. this limits our ability to spread info outside our own circles, however true said info is! if your credibility has not been eroded in this way you gotta pick up the baton
This. I believe every entertainment journalist right now has a responsibility to confront anyone working with Rowling, if only to spread awareness. If you're being forced to cover the new Potter HBO show, I hope you'll include constant, repeated references to Rowling's extreme, daily hate.
i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: i don’t think most people are aware of just how extreme Rowlings views and actions are

It says K-pop doeneun hyungdeuls - hyungs who have become K-pop. But sounds very close to the original title. It also says sasip boys. Sasip means 40, as in their ages. A masterpiece
It’s important for the skyline to see this Epik High poster

Drake sitting there reading about how good the judge thought the song was and how everyone really enjoyed it
The song contains lyrics explicitly accusing Drake of being a pedophile, set to a catchy beat and propulsive
bassline. "Not Like Us" went on to become a cultural sensation.

I just saw someone use the abbreviation “AI;DR” and I’ll be laughing for a while.
I agree! WDB did so well at portraying every single relationship and I love the ease XZ and Li Qin had with each other
(Li Qin and XZ worked together on Battle Through the Heavens, The Wolf, Jade Dynasty and Where Dreams Begin.

Thankfully by the fourth time their characters finally got to have a happy ending together.)

XZ Weibo post: "For Fu Yixao, General Fu!"

He reposted frequent collaborator Li Qin's post with a clip from her currently airing show Fated Hearts.

(General Fu Yixao is the name of her character.)

Li Qin comment: "Thanks Zhan-ge, looking forward to Shaobai!"

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 🥮

The #diebao Weibo account is celebrating with a chaotic behind the scenes video with plenty of silly XZ (him saying "what's up, gege" took me out)

The single is out now:

I guess it's not surprising that folks think this is acceptable when people who don't read classical Chinese (or insert other Asian languages) are frequently allowed to publish professional "translations".
I guess they'd say they edit but like, that takes a level of literacy most folks do not have in either language
