If there was any doubt, test match cricket is the greatest game that humans have invented, and possibly the high point of evolution.

Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

Wow - those are quite phenomenal headlines given the details of the story.

Ahh look, he’s just a ‘nerdy’ guy. No harm done.

You need to scroll down to paragraph 13 of the Sky piece to find the full story!

It is, even if I’m slightly ashamed it’s taken 53 years for me to get it. This woke Bluesky echo chamber is absolutely dreadful. Someone asks an interesting question and a bunch of apparently intelligent people offer helpful, good faith answers. It’ll never catch on.

If she’s in hiding in Venezuela then she may send someone to pick it up for her, and the obvious choice is the man she has dedicated the award to. So I think there’s now a decent chance Trump gets to have his Nobel Peace Prize moment. Maybe that was the idea!

Quite a remarkable lie to tell to a roomful of generals, a significant number of whom will have seen active service in Afghanistan.
Trump: "Washington DC was the most unsafe, most dangerous city in the US and to a large extent, beyond. You go to Afghanistan, they didn't have anything like that."

Once again for everyone in the back:

The appropriate response to fascist or fascist-adjacent policy is not “that’s unworkable and here’s why it won’t work”.

It’s “that’s monstrous and here’s a strong statement of our values and vision”

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

Dems pushed that line hard with Vance who is now a heartbeat from the presidency. I know we like to think our politics isn’t as bananas as in the US, but the trajectory isn’t encouraging.
